The Hill-Rom CareAssist Hospital Bed features a new 6-inch hospital-grade Memory Foam Mattress. Both caregiver and patient comfort are supported by the bed's controls, which are hydraulically operated and easy to use. Patient controls snap directly into the bed rail for convenient access. This bed is designed for safe and easy movement, with a raised headboard allowing caregivers to push it while standing upright. Four casters lock in two directions, and a single press activates the CareAssist brake system for secure stopping. An alert sounds if the brakes are released while the bed is still plugged in. When transporting a patient, this bed can function without being plugged in, thanks to its standard backup feature.
